This is a 'best guess' tool written by RJS to help estimate the impact of a bond election on your tax rate. This is not sponsored by the City of Garland or any taxing authority. This is my own work and is subject to (a lot of) error. There are over 161,000 possible scenarios based on what the voters approve and how the council chooses to pay for the bond. This is a very rough attempt to tackle that question with an immediate tax increase to cover the full cost of the bond by raising our debt capacity the full amount of the bond options that you select with a 7-10 year implementation. This also is NOT a ballot. By clicking 'calculate', you will get a list of propositions, their total costs and a vague idea of what this might mean for your tax rate. Again, this is just a simulation.
